Resort Wear For A Warm Weather Getaway
There are few things more enjoyable than an escape to warm weather during the middle of winter! Like clockwork, when February rolls around, sunshine and the beach call my name and I look to the calendar to see if we can fit something in. We just got back from a long weekend in Miami and as expected, time in the sun did wonders! Even though March is upon us and hints of Spring are in the air, for most of the country winter isn't leaving anytime soon, so whether it be for spring break or a quick weekend trip, here's what I recommend adding to the packing list for your next sunny getaway.
Resort wear is one of my favorite things to shop for, probably because I know that means a vacation is on the horizon! For tropical destinations, I love to fill my suitcase with linens, straw bags (both totes and clutches) and espadrilles - think natural fabrics and light colors. There is something so timeless and versatile about these pieces making them work location to location and last season after season. Plus, their lightweight nature makes them easy to pack! To mix it up, I usually add a pop of color with a fun swimsuit or bold accessory.
For Miami I brought a few new pieces that I currently can't get enough of, like this breezy wrap dress with ruffles and this crochet coverup, as well some old go-to's like my fringe beach bag (similar here) and pompom sleeve tunic (similar here). I currently have my eyes on on this straw tote and these fringe slides, as well as so many of the pretty items below.
